Rare Originals was founded by Mandy Tamm, a former Spotify editor who spent seven years shaping some of the platform's most influential playlists — including Today's Top Hits, Pop Rising, and the EQUAL artist program. She started on the editorial team in Berlin before joining the Global Hits team in Los Angeles, where she worked across markets and genres to break artists at scale.

Now she works on the other side of the pitch, helping emerging artists and independent labels navigate the streaming landscape with the same strategic thinking that used to happen inside the building.
